Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory
Spearman High School Prom
Spearman High School rented the McLoughlin Event Center to hold their prom, Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. The entry, hall, dining room, and picture room were transformed into scenes from the beloved movie. Oompa Loompas valet parked cards and even Willy Wonka himself delivered "golden tickets" to all the seniors. I was in charge of the design, procurement, creation of sets, budget, and managing over 100 student/parent volunteers. Janet Scarborough was my genius partner, who assisted me in all aspects.

Heartball
American Heart Association, Austin
The Heartball was the American Heart Association's major, annual fundraiser. The event was held at the Rennaissance hotel in Austin. The theme was Moulin Rouge (playing on the Go Red theme). The hotel was transformed into a 19th century European dance hall. There was a live and silent auction. Sorority members at UT volunteered to help at the event, dressing like showgirls. I was in charge of all design, lighting, layout and costumes.
